We are excited to partner with the leader in French summer camps throughout the Greater Toronto Area to Ryerson. Camp Tournesol has welcomed tens of thousands of children to its French camps since 2001.

All French instruction is provided by Camp Tournesol’s experienced bilingual instructors. Ryerson counsellors are assigned to each camper group, and provide recreational instruction.

Campers participate in French language instruction for half the day, and enjoy traditional sport and recreational activities during the other half (sport and recreation instruction is provided in English).

Introduction to French

Campers in the Introduction to French program have little to no experience speaking French but are very interested and excited to learn!

To develop their vocabulary base and confidence to express themselves in French, campers will have fun learning basic French vocabulary and key sentences for their great time at Camp! Campers will then use these words while doing team-building activities and as they play board games.

While we do not explicitly cover grammar or verbs, campers are sure to develop their understanding of sentence structure as they work with our fully bilingual counsellors.
